Orders, Deliveries, Returns and Exchange

1. ORDER PLACEMENT

Order placement for merchandise from The Luxury Mordernist can be conducted through the official website The Luxury Modernist, by VISA, MASTERCARD, or American Express.

For clients concerned with significant service charges from online payment providers , we now accept international bank transfer (wise.com), which only charges a minimal fee and takes 1-2 days’ time  from the sender’s bank clearance, security check on both ends, and the final remittance to be received.   For bank transfer, do contact Client Services to confirm your item(s) of purchase. Our staff will be more than happy to issue you a confirmation via E-mail along with transfer instructions


2. DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

Our expected delivery time is our best effort estimation of the time required for you to receive your order after you have made a purchase. From our historical data, 96% of actual orders placed within our 3 entities are received within 4 business days. Orders are all shipped through DHL and insured – always.  

Ever since we have selected DHL as our service provider, International Deliveries have been accepted, with 0 failed reported shipping reports.

We offer complimentary international shipping (insured) to all our customers for their orders over USD$2,000. Order under this value is subject to the shipping fees quoted after payment check-out, which the client will need to bear.

We cannot be held liable for any losses because of delivery occurring outside of our expected time frame and you are not released from your obligations as a customer or any other terms and conditions that may be relevant to your order should your order be delivered in a time frame other than our expected delivery time. If your account or parcel delivery needs to undergo security validation, this will impact the delivery time. The Luxury Modernist is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance issues.

We make sure each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. The Luxury Modernist will hold title to the goods until they are delivered to and accepted by you in accordance with these terms and conditions. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for and title to your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by The Luxury Modernist, and transfer of responsibility and title in the same way. The goods are your responsibility from the time we deliver them to the address you gave us.

In certain circumstances our delivery partner may provide you with the following options when delivering your order: (a) signature release: opting out of the requirement to provide a signature on delivery; and/or (b) leave with neighbour: re-directing the delivery to a neighbour. You acknowledge and agree that we shall bear no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage that may result from delivering your order in accordance with your request.

For customers in certain markets, duties and import fees may be applicable and the estimated duties and import fees are only paid after the delivery clears customs at the recipient’s destination. The actual duties and import fees applicable and payable to the relevant customs and tax authorities in the destination country may vary compared with the estimated amount charged at checkout.

For customers in the USA, we do not collect sales or use tax in all states. We do not collect use tax for international purchases. For states imposing sales or use tax, your purchase may be subject to use tax unless it is specifically exempt from taxation. For orders above US$800 in total, duties may be applicable, and duties are to be paid before the parcel will be released from the customs border warehouse checkpoint. Once payment has been completed to the courier service through an online portal (DHL), customs will then immediately release the delivery and continue towards the specified address.

15.  RETURNS, REFUND, AND EXCHANGE POLICY

At The Luxury Modernist, we offer our customers a 7-DAY RETURN, REFUND, OR EXCHANGE POLICY.

As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect these legal rights.

In the extremely rare event that an item you purchased was different in a way that you would be unhappy and unsatisfied with your item bought either through The Luxury Modernist’s official website or directly through a Client Services Specialist, you may return the item for a refund or exchange.  Do contact a representative at The Luxury Modernist to report your situation with clear photos and your order number along with a daytime contact in order to proceed through the validation and acknowledgement process.

Upon confirmation of an item to be returned, an arrangement from our logistics provider will be in place for pick-up of the return at a specified address provided by the customer.

The return shipping cost is paid by The Luxury Modernist, the merchant, and never the customer.
